We have identified an incident involving the unauthorized disclosure of personal information (business card information) managed by Hazama Ando Corporation as a result of one of our employees being deceived by an individual impersonating a police officer.
We sincerely apologize to all affected individuals and organizations for the concern and inconvenience this incident may have caused.
1. Background of the Incident
Between August 16 and August 23, 2026, the employee concerned was contacted by an individual claiming to be a police officer and was instructed to provide business card information allegedly required for an investigation into personal and business relationships.
On August 17, 2026, the employee downloaded business card information stored in the Company's business card management system and transmitted the data to the individual via email.
On August 23, 2026, the employee independently contacted the police and subsequently learned that the communications had not originated from a legitimate law enforcement authority but were part of a fraudulent scheme.
The Company was informed of the incident on August 24, 2026, and immediately commenced an investigation.

3. Actions Taken by the Company
We are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident in cooperation with relevant parties.
We have also begun individually notifying persons whose information may have been affected and extending our apologies for the concern caused.
In addition, we submitted a report regarding this incident to the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan on August 28, 2026.
4. Measures to Prevent Recurrence
We take this incident extremely seriously.
To prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future, we will strengthen employee awareness and training regarding personal information protection and information security.
We will also strengthen controls relating to the handling and export of personal information and review and enhance our data access controls, operational procedures, and internal governance measures.
